    Hi Dr. Chaudhary,

I’ve started making the tea and am using the Triphala capsules so I was wondering how many weeks or months is typical until I start seeing results? I eat “clean” and exercise 3-4 times a week already but wasn’t seeing results so I’m happy to add these items to my daily life. Thanks for sharing!

You are ideal candidate for this program because you only have that resistant fat left to work on. Use the products for at least 3 months to get the full results, but all of the recommendations that I gave can be used lifelong to keep the excess weight from returning. That is what I am doing. Dr. Chaudhary – I read articles regarding the side effects of Triphala and I was concerned. How much should we be concerned?
Are all the powders the same? Organic or not?

    Thanks

Triphala is one of the safest herbs out there but I always recommend organic. The powders are always the most potent forms however the triphala is not an easy one to take. I recommend starting with the tablets first.

It comes in 500mg or 1,000mg and I typically recommend 1,000mg a day but if you start slower at 500mg a day.

          Thank you

Triphala is a great herb for ulcerative colitis. As long as long as your daughter is not having diahrea or a lot of loose stools it will benefit.

It is too difficult to give you medical recommendations over the website. I suggest you speak with a local Ayurvedic practitioner or your cardiologist to get the appropriate answer. Good luck

    Hi,
I am worried about my body becoming dependent on the triphala capsules to have bowel movements. I have heard that if you take supplements to help promote bowel movements that eventually your colon will become dependent and not be able to function without the pills and will need to keep using more powerful supplements.

Triphala supports your digestive system and helps to restore it to it’s natural state. It won’t hinder digestion; it’s the same as eating food, not like an unnatural supplement.

      Hello,
This is a difficult situation and may be too complex without an actual consultation with an Ayurvedic practitioner. The answer as to how long it will take to see results is that it depends. The more ama (toxins) a person has collected in their physiology, the longer it take for the Triphala and tea to work. The other thing you may want to do is a 21 day juice cleanse. This should be done under the advise/ supervision of your doctor.

I have acidity problems and acid reflux. I would like to take triphala churna but I was wondering when is the best time to take it? before or after dinner? And is the brand patanjali triphala churna safe to take?

In general Triphala should be taken on an empty stomach. Try taking it before bedtime as well as 30 min before eating breakfast. I am unfamiliar with the Patanjali brand. The Triphala we use is Digest Tone and is on our website.

It depends on how much you like the flavor of Indian food. However, having at least one meal a day with the curry spice is a good place to start.

It is ok. However, Neem is traditionally taken during the daytime and Triphala is usually taken before bedtime. These are just general rules of thumb, and there are exceptions.

Hello, I’m so confused your Triphala product doesn’t even have the 3 main ingredients that’s suppose to compose Triphala. Or does it? How come your product does not contain these 3 ingredients: Amalaki, Haritaki,Bibhitaki that is supposedly called Triphala?

I have congestive heart failure. I am on meds for that: bumex, lisinopril, spironolactone, metoprolol, baby asprin. Any conflicts or contra indications with these and triphala powder as tea 2x daily? When I mentioned Ayuvedic herbal routes to my cardiologist, he just threw up his hands, very uninformed and preferred the pharmaceutical route for management rather than healing. Any advice on this?
