Nourishing Rice Recipe
½ cup rice (whole grain is best)
1 cup water
½ teaspoon ghee
1.Rinse rice with water
3.Add rice and ghee, stir once, turn heat down to low and cover
4.Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, until rice is fluffy and water is almost evaporated
5.Remove from heat and let sit for 5 to 10 minutes
6.Put rice in serving dish
7.Lightly fluff with fork
Spicing your Rice:
1.Prepare rice by following steps 1-5 above (but omit ghee).
2.Heat ghee to melting in a separate pan. It is done when a tiny drop of water sputters across the top of the ghee.
3.Put your recommended spice blend in ghee.
4.Heat and stir until the spices release a sudden burst of aroma.
5.Put into rice, mix gently, and serve immediately.
